Type 2 Diabetes is a condition that is close to my heart because it is a disease which has affected two generations of my family. I have seen first-hand the challenges that living with it can cause and I know how important expert nutrition advice is to support pre-diabetics regain blood sugar control and lose extra weight around the middle to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
My mission is to help people diagnosed with pre-diabetes to make safe, simple and sustainable changes to what they eat in order to prevent the onset of Type 2 Diabetes. I am committed to guiding my clients towards balanced blood sugar levels and healthy weight-loss - without relying on will power alone - by teaching simple strategies that can be implemented for life. As a result, my clients rediscover a sense of well-being; and the freedom to enjoy food without feeling deprived or hungry.
My approach is not about overhauling what you eat to diet perfection- but finding real foods that you can enjoy which are balanced to support your specific biochemistry. We are all unique and have different constitutions and there is no standard formula to follow. This is where the nutritional therapy part comes in and that’s why my plans are personalised to meet your individual needs. We work together to find small consistent changes which are easy to implement, do not overwhelm and are sustainable for YOU. And I don’t just send you off with a nutrition plan and wish you good luck. I stay with you, cheer you on every step of the way and help you find strategies to keep your motivation button switched on.
