I have always loved cooking and eating good food but my interest in nutrition really developed whilst I was raising my three children. Also, during that time, I began to struggle with severe PMS and acne rosacea. Instinct told me that both conditions must be linked to some of the foods that I was eating. I went on a journey of discovery, deciding to train as a nutritional therapist. I wanted to find answers for myself.
My nutritional therapy training gave me the knowledge to adjust my diet, to balance my hormones, so, PMS was no longer part of my life. Thankfully, as a result of these changes, my skin soon became clear of acne rosacea.
I graduated from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2007 and set up my Nutritional therapy practice, in Esher. I began to work as a zest4life practitioner in the same year. Since then, I have run group programmes, each school term, and have seen so many clients achieve their health and weight-loss goals. I love running the group sessions because, whilst the focus is on nutritional education and achieving challenging goals, the sessions are relaxed and friendly. Everyone supports each other and the results are fantastic!
I am currently undergoing Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) accredited training as a Wellbeing Coach. The coaching skills that I am gaining are proving invaluable in helping zest4life clients achieve their goals.
My youngest son struggled with post viral fatigue, following glandular fever. This led me to attend the Chrysalis Effect training programme. The programme trains practitioners to provide specialist support to those suffering from chronic fatigue, ME and fibromyalgia.
I am registered as a Nutritional Therapist with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
