Nutritional Therapy

"Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual's symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a 'one size fits all' approach. Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with 'red flag' signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided."  BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy).

Weight Loss Coaching

Many people do not know why they cannot achieve their goals and often start new diets only to give up, time after time, and blame the process or themselves. When we work with our clients, we look at the whole person, and their lives rather than just the food they are eating, the calorific value of food or a measurement on a set of scales. This is usually how the weight loss industry ‘programmes’ and then assesses people and this is often missing the point of what food is really for and encourages an unhealthy obsession with weight and restricting food.

All our motivational coaching tools are unique to zest4life and our coaching process takes you through all the essential components to make a breakthrough in your eating, thinking and behaviour patterns.  We look at success planning, rewards, time & stress management techniques, emotional eating, body image, overcoming cravings, positive brain training, motivation boosters and habit breakers and makers.  Our weight loss coaches are trained in these techniques – to support you on your journey and help you find the right way forward for you.
